Devices calculate your stride length based on your height and sometimes even your pace. Each device calculates the stride length slightly differently. Stridekick can only sync in the activity data calculated by your device. We do not convert your steps to distance or vice versa.

So, how does this affect your challenge?

In the same amount of distance individuals with a shorter stride length tend to get higher step counts, while those with longer stride lengths have less. If you think about it, those with shorter legs tend to take an increased number of smaller steps to make the same distance of someone with longer legs and a longer stride.

You can check out our Steps to Distance Calculator to estimate how many steps you get per mile or kilometer based off of your height and pace.
