What is Sync with Samsung account, and what is the benefit of enabling it?

Syncing your data with your Samsung account means that your data is safely stored in your Samsung account (versus only being saved locally on your Samsung device).

This can be helpful if you get a new phone but want to maintain your Samsung Health data from previous devices, for example. You can enable syncing with your Samsung account in both Samsung Health and the Samsung Health Platform App.

If you'd like to enable Sync with Samsung account, please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Enable Sync with Samsung account in Samsung Health

  1. Open the Samsung Health app

  2. Select the menu icon and select Settings

  3. Locate Sync with Samsung account and make sure this option is toggled on

Step 2: Enable Sync with Samsung account in Health Platform

  1. Open your phone's Settings menu

  2. Select Apps > Samsung app settings > Health Platform

  3. Locate Sync with Samsung account and make sure this option is toggled on
