A shared journey where everyone’s miles move the map forward
Group Virtual Race Mode turns your challenge into a collective adventure.
Instead of racing individually or in teams, your entire group works together to travel across a virtual map — unlocking destinations, passing milestones, and watching the route fill in as they move.
This mode is perfect for bringing a whole community together around one shared finish line.
🎯 What Group Virtual Race Measures
Group Virtual Race tracks total group distance — every participant’s miles contribute to the progress of the entire challenge.
As your group moves, the map updates visually so everyone can see how far you’ve collectively traveled.
📏 What Goal You’ll Set
You’ll enter a total group distance goal, such as:
5,000 miles
10,000 miles
25,000 miles
This represents the shared route your group needs to complete.
Admins often choose goals based on:
Group size
Average daily activity levels
Challenge duration
A good rule of thumb:
Plan for 2–5 miles per participant per day.
📐 How to Choose the Right Group Goal
Formula
Group Goal = Estimated Participants × Daily Miles × Challenge Days
Baseline
2–3 miles/day/person
Example
100 participants × 2.5 miles/day × 30 days = 7,500 miles
📊 Recommended Ranges (100 participants)
Days | Miles |
7 | 1,500–3,000 |
14 | 3,000–5,000 |
30 | 6,000–10,000 |
Scale up or down based on group size.
🧠 How Scoring Works
Scoring is collective, not competitive:
Everyone contributes to the same progress bar
All distance logged (on time or late) helps move the map forward
The group finishes the route together when the total goal is reached
Participants can still view their individual stats, but the race itself is a collaborative effort.
