How to Create and Delete User-Created Challenges

Create your own custom challenge—or clean up one you no longer need—all from the Stridekick mobile app.

✅ Before You Start

  • You can create up to 5 active challenges at a time

  • Once one ends, you can create a new one

  • Free Stridekick users can only create public challenges up to 7 days long.
    Want longer or private challenges? → Upgrade to Pro

⚠️ Heads up: As the creator, you can’t leave a challenge you created—but you can delete it if needed. You also can’t set a challenge to start in the past, so make sure to double-check your dates before saving.


🛠️ How to Create a Challenge

  1. Open the Stridekick app and go to your dashboard

  2. Tap the blue + Join/Create button (also available in the Challenges tab)

  3. Tap Create a challenge

  4. Choose your challenge mode
    Available options:

    • 🏆 Leaderboard

    • 🔁 Streak

    • 🎯 Target

    • ✅ Daily Habit

  5. Set your challenge goal

    • Pick your metric: steps, distance, or active minutes

    • Set a daily or overall goal (based on mode)

  6. Choose your start date and challenge duration.

  7. Add your challenge details

    • Give it a name

    • (Optional) Add a description and a custom image

  8. Tap Save and review

    🎉 You’ve created your challenge! You can now invite friends to join.


🗑️ How to Delete a Challenge You Created

Challenge creators can delete their own challenges at any time, either before or during the challenge period.

  1. Open the Stridekick app

  2. Go to your dashboard or Challenges tab

  3. Tap the challenge you want to delete

  4. Tap the ellipsis button (“…”) in the top-right corner

  5. Select Delete challenge

  6. Confirm when prompted

⚠️ Deleting a challenge will remove it for all participants and erase all associated score data. Deleted challenges cannot be recovered, so proceed with caution!
