Choose the right mode for your group’s goals! Here’s a quick guide to the 5 challenge types available in Stridekick when you create your own challenge. 🏆


📊 Leaderboard

A fitness competition classic.
Race to the top based on steps, distance, or active minutes! This mode ranks all participants from highest to lowest, making it perfect for anyone who loves a little friendly competition.

  • Sort participants by total or daily average

  • Compete on steps, distance, or active minutes

  • The person with the highest total at the end = leaderboard champ 🥇


🏃‍♀️ Virtual Race

A challenge with a visual twist.
Participants work toward a set distance goal along a virtual route. You’ll unlock surprises and milestones along the way—and see your progress in real time.

  • Set an individual distance goal

  • Watch progress along the race path

  • Check the leaderboard to see how quickly participants reach the finish line


🔥 Streak

Build momentum—one day at a time.
Track how many days in a row you can hit your goal! Choose a daily step, distance, or active minutes target and go for the longest streak.

  • Watch your streak grow with each daily win

  • See which participants are keeping pace

  • Compare who’s on the longest hot streak 🔥


🎯 Target

Set your own pace toward a big goal.
Participants aim to reach a total steps, distance, or active minutes goal over the course of the challenge. Daily progress is tracked to keep you on pace.

  • Set a personal total goal for the challenge

  • Track your daily pace

  • See what percentage of the goal each participant has completed


Daily Habit

Track a custom habit every day.
Daily Habit challenges let you build consistency with a specific action—chosen by the challenge creator. It could be anything from drinking water to meditating!

  • Participants manually log their habit in the app

  • Must be part of a Daily Habit Challenge to see the logging option

  • This mode is not based on device activity
