If you’re using a Samsung Galaxy Watch or other Samsung wearable, you can connect it to Stridekick through Samsung Health and Health Connect.
This connection lets your steps and activity from your watch sync automatically into Stridekick — so you can join challenges, track your progress, and see your daily totals all in one place. 🙌
🧩 How the Connection Works
Your Samsung wearable → Samsung Health → Health Connect → Stridekick
Each part plays a role:
Samsung Health collects your step data from your watch.
Health Connect securely shares that data between Samsung Health and Stridekick.
Stridekick displays your steps and activity in your challenges.
🛠️ Step 1: Check That You Have the Right Apps Installed
Make sure all three apps below are downloaded and updated on your phone:
Samsung Health (pre-installed on most Samsung phones)
Health Connect (free in the Google Play Store)
Stridekick (from Google Play or the App Store)
⚙️ Step 2: Connect Samsung Health to Health Connect
Open Samsung Health.
Tap Menu (☰) → Settings → Health Connect.
Choose App permissions.
Turn all permissions ON — especially Steps and Distance.
✅ This allows Samsung Health to share your watch’s step data with Health Connect.
🔗 Step 3: Connect Health Connect to Stridekick
Open the Stridekick app.
Tap the menu bars (☰) in the top left corner.
Select Settings → Device.
Choose Health Connect from the list of devices.
Tap Allow when prompted to give Stridekick access to your activity data.
Tap the blue Get Started button.
When prompted, toggle Allow all → then select Allow to confirm.
You’ll see a confirmation message — tap OK to finish.
🎉 That’s it! Your Samsung wearable is now connected to Stridekick through Health Connect.
🔁 Step 4: Sync Your Data
Health Connect doesn’t automatically refresh your data on its own, so check that:
Your Samsung Health app has synced with your watch.
You’ve opened Stridekick to refresh your challenge data.
You’re connected to the internet.
⚠️ Important Notes About Samsung Health Data
Steps: Always shared with Stridekick through Health Connect.
Distance: Only shared when you explicitly log an exercise in Samsung Health (like tracking a walk, run, or bike ride).
If you rely only on background step tracking, distance data may not appear in Stridekick.
Want full distance tracking? Use Google Fit with Health Connect instead.
🧠 Troubleshooting Tips
If your Samsung wearable isn’t syncing:
Reopen all three apps (Samsung Health, Health Connect, Stridekick)
Double-check that Steps and Activity permissions are turned ON in Health Connect
Make sure your watch has synced to Samsung Health recently
Try restarting your phone
