How Do I Connect My Android Phone as My Fitness Tracker?

Learn how to use your Android device to track your steps and sync data to Stridekick.

Updated this week

No fitness tracker? No problem! Stridekick allows you to use your Android phone as a step tracker by connecting through Health Connect or the Fitbit app.

πŸ“± Option 1: Connect Using Health Connect (Recommended for all other android apps beside Fitbit)

Health Connect is a free app that acts as a secure bridge between your favorite fitness appsβ€”like Samsung Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, Oura, Whoop, and more. It allows Stridekick to access your activity data (like steps and distance) from those apps so your progress can be synced into your challenges.

➑️ Note: Health Connect itself does not track steps nor sync activity data. It pulls step data from apps like those mentioned above and sends it to Stridekick.

πŸ“± Option 2: Connect Using Fitbit

If you already use the Fitbit app to track steps with your phone, you can connect Stridekick through Fitbit instead.
