How Does Time Zone Affect My Challenges?

Learn how your time zone impacts challenge start and end times—and how scoring works across different zones.

Updated over 2 months ago

⏰ When Will My Challenge Start?

Challenges start at 12:00 AM in the creator’s time zone.

That means it might not start right at midnight in your time zone—but don’t worry! Any steps you take starting at 12:00 AM your time will still count toward your challenge.

Example:

If your challenge is set to start at 12:00 AM PST and you’re in EST, it will show as “started” at 3:00 AM EST—but your steps from midnight to 3:00 AM will still be scored in the challenge.

🏁 When Will My Challenge End?

Challenges end at 11:59 PM in your time zone on the final day.

This gives every participant the same amount of time to get their steps in, no matter where they are in the world.

🌎 How Does Time Zone Affect Scoring?

Even if the challenge appears to start or end at different times for different users:

  • Stridekick always scores your activity from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM in your local time zone

  • Everyone gets a full day of activity per challenge day—no advantage, no disadvantage!
