Understanding Grace Period Rules

All Stridekick challenges include a 3-day grace period to give you extra time to sync your final activity.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

🕒 What’s the Grace Period?

Every challenge in Stridekick includes a built-in 72-hour (3-day) grace period after the official end time.

This grace period gives all participants extra time to:

  • ✅ Open the Stridekick app

  • ✅ Sync any final step, distance, or activity data

  • ✅ Make sure everything counts toward the final scores

💡 Once the grace period ends, all challenge scores are final and can’t be updated—even if you sync later.

🔔 Where You'll See It

You’ll be notified about the grace period directly in the app:

  • On your challenge card in the dashboard

  • In the Challenges tab when a challenge has ended

📌 Why It Matters

Sometimes people forget to sync on the final day—or their device takes a while to catch up. The grace period gives everyone a fair shot to have their most recent data counted.

This ensures a fair environment and helps mitigate concerns about uncounted or delayed data post-finalization.

What to Do If You Missed the Grace Period

Once the grace period ends and scores are finalized, you cannot update your data directly through Stridekick. However, here are a few options to consider:

  • Communicate with Your Challenge Admin: They may informally acknowledge your activity directly, even though it won't update in the app.

  • Learn for Future Challenges: Ensure all your activity is synced before the official grace period of future challenges closes.
