If you’ve already connected your Apple Watch to Stridekick and syncing still isn’t working, don’t worry—this guide will walk you through the most common fixes.

Stridekick pulls your steps, distance, and active minutes from the Apple Health app on your iPhone. That means your first step is to make sure your data is syncing correctly into Apple Health.

🔍 Step 1: Check Your Apple Health Data

Open your iPhone’s Health app and make sure the following metrics look correct for today:

  • Steps

  • Distance

  • Active minutes (also known as Exercise minutes from your Watch)

If the totals look off, your Apple Watch may not be prioritized correctly as a data source.

🔧 Step 2: Adjust Data Source Priorities

To make sure your Apple Watch is the primary source for activity data:

  1. Open the Health app on your iPhone

  2. Tap your step count under “Today”

  3. Scroll down and tap Data Sources & Access

  4. Tap Edit (top right)

  5. Use the three lines (≡) to drag your Apple Watch to the top

  6. Tap Done to save

Repeat this process for Distance and Exercise Minutes if needed.

This tells Apple Health to prioritize your Watch data over your iPhone's motion data.

✅ Step 3: Confirm Health Data Access for Stridekick

Stridekick needs permission to read your Health data. To confirm:

  1. Open your iPhone’s Settings

  2. Tap Privacy & Security > Health > Stridekick

  3. Make sure all options are toggled ON (green)

This allows Stridekick to pull in steps, distance, and active minutes from Apple Health.

🕗 Step 4: Check Your Time Zone

Having the wrong time zone can lead to issues with your totals syncing properly.

To check your time zone in Stridekick:

  • Tap the ☰ menu bars in the top left of the app

  • Tap Settings

  • Scroll to the Time zone field and adjust if needed

Make sure your time zone matches your actual location.
