If your iPhone’s Health app isn’t syncing to Stridekick and you’ve already learned how to sync the Health app to Stridekick, here are the steps to troubleshoot:

✅ Step 1: Check Your Data in the Health App

Open the Apple Health app and confirm that your steps and distance data are showing correctly.

❗Note: Apple Health does not record or send active minutes. Learn more about active minutes here.

🔓 Step 2: Confirm Stridekick Has Permission

Make sure Stridekick is allowed to read your Health data:

  1. Open your iPhone’s Settings

  2. Tap Privacy & Security > Health > Stridekick

  3. Ensure all options are toggled on or green

📏 Step 3: Confirm Motion & Fitness is Enabled

If your Health app isn’t recording any steps, check that your iPhone is allowed to collect movement data:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness

  3. Make sure Fitness Tracking and Health are toggled on

🔁 Step 4: Troubleshoot Third-Party Device Syncing

If you're using a device or app like Polar, Pebble, or Xiaomi to send data to Apple Health but don’t see steps, you’ll need to troubleshoot the connection between that device and Apple Health directly.

⏰ Step 5: Check Your Time Zone in Stridekick

Incorrect time zones can affect syncing. To confirm:

  1. From the Stridekick dashboard, tap the ☰ menu in the upper left corner

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Scroll to Time Zone and tap to adjust if needed
