How to Sync Samsung Health with Stridekick (Updated Guidance)
If you’re looking to connect your Samsung Health data to Stridekick, you now have better and more supported options than using the third-party Health Sync app. Health Sync is no longer recommended due to reliability issues and lack of official support.
Instead, try one of these official options to sync your Samsung Health data to Stridekick:
✅ Option 1: Use Health Connect (Recommended for most users)
Health Connect is a free Android feature that securely shares data between fitness apps like Samsung Health and Stridekick.
Sync Samsung Health steps to Stridekick via Health Connect
Works in the background once permissions are granted
No cost and supported by both Samsung and Android
✍️ Option 2: Use Manual Activity Entry
If your challenge admin has enabled it, you can manually enter your step data from Samsung Health directly into Stridekick—up to 7 days back.
📱 Option 3: Use the Fitbit App (No device needed)
If you're not tied to Samsung Health, you can install the free Fitbit app and use your phone as your step tracker. No Fitbit device required.
🚫 Why We No Longer Recommend Health Sync
Health Sync is a third-party app that attempted to sync data from Samsung Health to Stridekick via Google Fit (which was discontinued in June of 2025). This process required multiple data transfers:
Samsung Health → Health Sync → Google Fit → Stridekick
Unfortunately, this complex flow often caused:
Incomplete or missing data
Sync errors
Delays or duplicate steps
Confusion over which app was responsible for the issues
Additionally, Health Sync is not free (after a 1-week trial, it costs $2.99), making it a more expensive option for our users.
